conducting a site survey

Site Survey is an assessment of signal coverage for each access point within a specific building. Confirm 100% coverage on a specific signal with the customer, ensuring that employees will have no problem sending wireless packets over the network. Each building structure will have a design that determines the characteristics of the signal. Problems that most often cause problems with declining wireless signals include water, metal, building contours, and devices that emit electromagnetic interference. Some access points can send a coverage pattern that extends from 100 to 170 feet, while others emit a 50-foot signal with the same characteristics.
